Divers
This project is not intended as a one-off diving event. It’s not for people who’d like to join in for once. For this, the activities involved are too complex. We strive to have a group of 40 to 50 experienced divers with the intention to join several times each season.
In addition to the cleaning days, Get Wet Maritime (and other maritime diving organisations) also organises normal wreck diving days. The criteria for joining on these days are less stringent.
The extra requirements for a ‘Dive the north sea clean’ diver are:
- Experience in north sea diving
- Being familiar with using decoballon, hefballon, line cutter and knives at a depth of 30 meter.
- Minimum of double 10 litres of Nitrox
- Preferably in buddy pairs that are used to each other
- Having received in north sea training of comparable levels
- A nitrox certificate
- Wreck diving specialty Get Wet Maritime of similar demonstrable level
- Preferably trained in working with nets
Good and experienced North Sea wreck divers are welcome irrespective of the diving organisation they are connected to. The organisation does however reserve the right to deny anyone a dive should they be uncertain as to their abilities.
Should you not meet the criteria above but keen to join, and looking forward to invest in your skills, you’d be most welcome and we can provide the relevant training!
